Next Friday (November 13th) will be holding a heat of the ‘Children in Need’ charity simultaneous pairs. ‘Sim pairs’ events
are where the same hands are played in clubs up and down the country and then merged into one gigantic event over the internet. Players also
receive a book the hands with expert commentary at the ened of play. You will be asked to contribute a mimimum of £3 extra table money
which will go to the BBC Children in Need Appeal. Over a full week of events (you can play other sets of deals on other days) the CiN
pairs normally raises over £50,000 from the bridge playing community, a worthwhile effort indeed. More details of this on the
organisers’ page www.ecatsbridge.com/sims We are also playing the Monday heat on the 16th November at Putney BC.

Finally, I am again organising the annual dinner & bridge at the Hand & Flower pub opposite Olympia. Date is Saturday December 19th and
timing 6.00 for the first half of the bridge, 7.30pm stop for a 3-course sit-down Christmas dinner, 9.00pm second half of bridge. 10.30pm approx results.
Details will be circulated. Cost is £30 per person including wine with dinner.
